East Midlands NLP Practice Group

The East Midlands NLP Group is a group of NLP practitioners and enthusiasts who meet regularly to exchange coaching, ideas and developments.

From July 2008 we will be meeting twice a month on the second and last Wednesdays of the month.

Arrive from 7pm for a 7.15 start.

The format of the group (after the all the essential chat) is to work in pairs or threes with a theme of open book coaching.

The idea behind open book coaching is that the facilitator(s) and explorer share in the process of coaching the explorer in some piece of work.  We call it ‘open book’ because this is an environment where referring to the coaching materials and reference works is perfectly acceptable.  The explorer keeps an attitude of response-ability for their own process.  The frame is one in which we support each other in our learning and development of the coaching intervention, wherever we are at.  This way it is as rewarding and comfortable for a novice to facilitate a master practitioner as it is the other way around.

This attitude of openness and support is embodied by the members of the group and this means that everyone seems to fit right in right from the first time they join us.

If you’re interested then you are free to simply turn up at the next meeting, or e-mail Rupert at rupert.meese@lightmind.co.uk so that he can add you to the e-mail list and keep you up to date with the dates of meetings (which can change on occasion).
